The medium feel that it gives is perfect for supporting the back properly in all the sleeping positions that I tried on it. I slept on my back, and the comfortable foam felt terrific. Lying on the stomach was comfortable without creating uncomfortable pressure in the chest. The hips received steady and firm support.
